The Nami Stick™ is a pre-patterned wooden template to be used as a supplementary beater. It creates curves in the weft for an ondulé effect. A traditional reed is used but the Nami Stick™ supplements the use of the batten (commonly called the beater) when pushing the weft into place. Beautifully finished cherry wood is inscribed with rulers on one side to help you keep track of your positioning. Length 24." Locally made in Rhode Island with love.

Inspired by the warping combs used in commercial textile processing, this tool is redesigned and repurposed for handweavers! The Open Reed® uses a removable top channel to allow individual creativity and innovation in moving warp threads apart and closer together within the same web!

These specially made industrial-style stainless steel reeds come with a separate top channel to keep the warp threads where you place them while weaving and a convenient strap to secure the reed onto the beater. Idea and instruction booklet included. This tool can be used with overhead or underslung beaters on any style loom.

We have partnered with the folks at Weaver House (www.weaverhouseco.com) to offer the Open Reed® from 18" to 24” lengths. We recommend 10 dpi, but other denting is available for custom order. All reeds are custom made for you at $7.75 per running inch.
