Many years ago, after my 2nd fragile financial attempt at a Studio/Storefront failed, I promised myself I would keep exploring all my wild ideas regarding equipment and tool modification. This goal has led to the most inspiring textiles I have ever woven and to other weavers who are equally excited about forging new territories in the creation of fabric. I have pestered colleagues, friends, and family to cut things apart, bend, sand, modify, and think about how looms work and how handweavers can manipulate the threads in the simplest and most amazing ways. At the encouragement of my family, I am writing an eBook that will be available on my website by November that documents and describes these tools. The photographs are exciting and thought provoking. I welcome your feedback.
