The Open Reed®

Originally developed to aid in the warping process, The Open Reed® allows warp threads to move apart and closer together within the same web! Please see textiles created using The Open Reed below.

These specially made industrial style stainless steel reeds are 4 ¼” high and come with a separate top channel to keep the warp threads where you place them while weaving and a convenient strap to secure the reed onto the beater. Idea and instruction booklet included. This tool can be used with overhead or underslung beaters on any style loom.  Denting is 10 dpi.   All reeds are 4¼” high and custom made for you.   Please allow 2 – 4 weeks for delivery.
